Events at Curl Curl - Sat 5 June

Saturday 5 June is World Environment Day and the theme of this year's event is "Ecosystem Restoration".


Northern Beaches Council is hosting two Environment Day events at Curl Curl on the day:

  • Lagoon Care and Microplastics - Come down and learn about the ecology of our lagoons and the impact that plastics has on these important ecosystems. Presentation commences at North Curl Curl SLSC (11:00AM)

  • Curl Curl Community Nursery Open Day - Come down to Curl Curl Community Nursery (cnr Abbott Rd and Griffin Rd) between 1:00 and 4:00PM, grab a free native plant and take a look at our nursery operations.

Between 1:00 and 2:00PM at the nursery, Council's Coasts & Catchments team will be presenting the Floating Wetlands pilot project environment including a demonstration of the water tank, pontoon, and air lift pump components.
